How can we improve Simkl?

  2. The chrome extension or the windows app, could analize text of the web like tvshowtime do

    So then if you play a video and the extension see the name "game of thrones s02 e7" it would mark that episode as seen (maybe waiting that the user be 20 minutes on the web, stoping to count when the user leave the page and starting again when it come back)

  4. Add and age rating section

    An age rating section for movies, tv, and (especially) anime would be nice.

  5. Add setting to hide plot

    Add a setting to the website to hide the plots by default - this helps if a user goes through the episodes and doesn't want to know the plot in advance - it's a feature that Trakt supports. See the attached screenshot for reference (the hidden plot is at the bottom of the screenshot).

  10. I really love this site because it has not only US series but also asian dramas...some are missing, but it can be fixed.

    You can change\remove your watching status and rating in tv\movie details. Will look into how we can make the overwrite function for stuff already on your watchlist without breaking what you have already marked as watched.

  12. Bugs in Windows app.

    When running it causes strange behaviour in already opened windows. Sometimess you need several tries to switch between opened explorer windows for example. Or when switching from browser window to explorer window the focus changes, but the browser window stays on top for some reason. Or you need to click on explorer icon in taskbar several times to see the explorer window on top of somethimg already opened.

    Most likely you have multiple Microsoft Visual C++ versions installed on your computer and the tracker gets stuck, uninstalling them usually helps. You can find Visual* in: Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features

  13. Send alerts when a tv show or movie is available on one of your streaming services like Reelgood.

    A feature I've been wanting for a while is to get an alert when a movie or tv show is available on one of the streaming services I subscribe to. Reelgood does a great job at this, providing email, text, & push notifications. I would also love to be able to filter searches by what is available on my services and filtering out shows I've already seen. If Simkl had these features, it would completely replace Reelgood and Rotten Tomatoes for me.

    Search results sould show exact BEGIN matches first.
    When I search for "the magicians", when I type "the magic" I should see this result before "care bears: unlock the magic". Results should also be sorted by rank and also titles I watch should come befrore everything else.

    There is currently a bug in the search that does not sort relevant results first. We’re looking into it, something to do with collecting search stats incorrectly.

    Searching for “the mag” should display “The magicians” at the top when it’s working correctly.

  15. Add a custom field to every show

    Add a custom field to every show that I can use to for example enter the URL of where I'm watching the show. The field would be entered by show but would appear in every episode to make it just one click away. If it's multiple lines, even better.

  18. Add options for whole Collections

    Can you add the option to mark the whole collection as watched, plant o watch, etc. so that when creating a new account or whenever browsing the collection user could mark the whole collection as watched or plan to watch. Hope you Understand.

  19. Hide watched movies also on netflix app adding watched titles to parental control

    Adding a title to the parent control of the profile will hid the title also on the tv and mobile app.

    Would be a nice extra also to remove these titles from parental control if a new episode or season has been released.

  20. SIMKL Anime Tracking in KODI

    I am using KODI with Otaku Testing Addon.
    I also have the SIMKL addon installed from Kodi repo.
    SIMKL is tracing TV Showsand Movies (regular) perfectly, athough it scrobbles really early after starting viewing.
    When watching anime, it says Scrobbling episode x, but that doesn't return a watched status to SIMKL app or website?

    I confirmed the addon is working properly by playing tv shows and movies from within fen light, where there is no option to add a SIMKL account.

    Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?
