How can we improve Simkl?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Apple TV and Android TV app

    Please make an app for Apple TV. Something like SIMKL Lists adapted to tvOS from iOS would be adequate. But ideally something more along the lines of what Trakt provides in their 2 series apps. Ideally I could replicate the flows I currently use w/ Trakt.

    • Ability to navigate to a show/movie, view seasons, and individual episodes.

  2. Upgrade apps

    Please expand the functionality of the applications. At the moment, the available options are very limited.
    Add the same features that already exist on the website: adding friends, creating lists, ratings and reviews, and full profile functionality.
    Also, enable subscription purchases directly through the app.
    Please ensure that when users tap on buttons, they are not redirected to the website, but can access all features within the app itself.

    Keep in mind that Simkl Lists is designed to be very simple, with a primary function to quickly mark something as watched.

  3. App to add shows or movies to your watchlist

    Be able to quickly add a movie or show you want to watch to your watchlist. Be able to integrate application with your DVR to schedule recordings.

    please add the ability to import my library form myepisodes.com
    it was a popular site a long time ago becuase it was about the only one in this category but now its just old and most user just use it becuase of the hassle of moving your library.

  5. sync Netflix queue ("My List")

    it's awesome you sync my Netflix history. A natural next step would be to sync my Netflix queue. My queue is large (probably 100+ titles) so a platform like simkl could really take the headache around what to watch next! it would make sense to use simkl as a launchpad!

  8. Movie and MPC

    MPC-BE and Movies support!

    MPC-BE support for the app. It is being replaced as better player than MPC-HC and people are changing to it. I think it would not be an big issue to add support to it?

    Also movie tracking is really crucial, is this even planned?

  12. Option to disable Trailers

    It would be nice if I could modify the settings in general, especially en/disable trailers. I already use Nenhancer and the trailer function there because it plays the trailer without opening a new window

  16. Fast desktop login via Barcode (App)

    Login via the app and Barcode.

    I'm often at my girlfriends place and logon to simkl on her pc so would be great if there is a easy way to login. Also it would encourage People to use the app on smartphones even more.

  18. Chrome Extension Features +

    It'd be nice to be able to close the lower half that has the enable services for Netflix, Hulu etc. not everyone uses those services!

    Also to be able to mark episodes as watched right from the extension would be neat, then you wouldn't have to open a new page/tab every time you watch an episode!
