How can we improve Simkl?

  1. TV Show Type

    Lists V2 allows selections based on TV Show Type. The listed show types are TV Series, Animation, Entertainment, Documentary and Youtube. What's the source of this show type?

    I basically only want to see scripted shows. Even when I only select TV Series, and exclude all other types, Australian sports show Formula 1 (amazingly ranked #16 all time) is still displayed. So are variety shows like The Carol Burnett Show. If I scrolled down far enough, even reality TV shows may be listed.

    While the idea is great, the underlying info sucks. Please consider extracting the show type from TV…

  2. Hide watched movies also on netflix app adding watched titles to parental control

    Adding a title to the parent control of the profile will hid the title also on the tv and mobile app.

    Would be a nice extra also to remove these titles from parental control if a new episode or season has been released.

  3. SIMKL Anime Tracking in KODI

    I am using KODI with Otaku Testing Addon.
    I also have the SIMKL addon installed from Kodi repo.
    SIMKL is tracing TV Showsand Movies (regular) perfectly, athough it scrobbles really early after starting viewing.
    When watching anime, it says Scrobbling episode x, but that doesn't return a watched status to SIMKL app or website?

    I confirmed the addon is working properly by playing tv shows and movies from within fen light, where there is no option to add a SIMKL account.

    Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

  5. Daylight saving time bug?

    With the current daylight saving time, I noticed all the time stamps from the stuff I watched also moved forward one hour. Can this be fixed?

  6. Show rating hints everywhere

    When you go to rate an item from your unrated page at https://simkl.com/YOURUSERID/history/ratings/?unrated=1 there is a really helpful tooltip giving a description of each star rating.

    It would be great if this was shown throughout the UI any time we go to rate an item.

    I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like in case it was unclear what I'm referring to.

  9. Option to disable Trailers

    It would be nice if I could modify the settings in general, especially en/disable trailers. I already use Nenhancer and the trailer function there because it plays the trailer without opening a new window

    Add a documentary option to genres in Movies, for all the stand-alone docs that don't show up in the TV>documentary filter.

  12. user profile categorising depending on ganre(s) he likes most(tv movie genres on his wached and playlist ..)

    and depending on user tv show and movie playlist ganres u coud add profille graph like 30 % drama 50 % fantasy or super sifi maniack
    and add like heart - if top % goes to romance , gun or kicking chuck norris if action liker near profile info
    (smthing cool looking ;]) that woud define what user likes looking fast at his profile

  14. Zoomplayer support

    Zoomplayer support would be nice, since its one of the only none "heavy" players that supports MadVR and can scrape files via tvdb. So it sits between MPC-HC and a full mediacenter like Kodi.

  15. Closing the loop.

    I'll be closer review to this application from both a beginner stand point and an advanced tech standpoint I would recommend adding things such as a perspective how to when you first start using this application, because I can see this being the next biggest thing for everyone to use, in my opinion it would benefit adding quick how to points to allow users to set up links to prevent which questions such as how do I or why can I not watch my favorite show from here and so on.   16. Add multiple select option for episode selection

    It would be nice if we could multiple select episodes 1-80 of the first hundred episodes of One Piece, for example, instead of selecting all 99 episodes and then de-selecting episodes 81-99.

  17. Fuse Tviso and Simkl webs, Togheter could make a better web for traking movies and tvshows

    Fuse Simkl and Tviso would be great, because both are a web page for traking movies and tvshows, both have cool features that the other do not have and both are on beta. If both fused, and having all the users that both have on one web, and all the cool features that each one can contribute to the other web, the web result of that fuse would be great!.

    Lke simkl have traking app for windows and extension for chrome, have notifications, have an a very good android app

    And tviso have tags, good organization of movies and tv…

  19. Leverage AI for Greater Ease-of-Use

    Greater ease-of-use and implementation of AI to make finding videos (watched and to watch) updating viewing progress and profile completion less time-consuming for the user. This would also allow for improved suggestion of content to users.
