How can we improve Simkl?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Show the duration of the episodes of a series or anime

    On the info of a tvshow/anime it show you how much it takes to see all the episodes of the tvshow/anime (for example: 5 hours)

    Would be good if it show too, the duration of the episodes (for example, all the episodes last 25minutes usually)

    and would be good too have the duration of the episode on the episode list

    And if it is a tvshow that have different duration for episodes, show an aproximation.

  2. Make Custom Lists public permanently so we don’t still have to use other apps like Letterboxd, Serializd, TV Time etc

    If it’s buggy that’s fine for now. Free days of Pro can be unlocked so they’re available anyways but it should be permanent. Otherwise we’ll have to import all these lists from different apps when it’s made public on Simkl. And with Letterboxd planning to introduce TV Shows to their app this year, you may miss the chance to show you’re the best all-in-one media tracker/rater. Which is why I’d also suggest making the V2 layout/look public soon too and get a better friend/feed style. Then allow 0-100 rating system and you’re pretty much perfect

  3. An editable version of the page

    For example, I’d like the MY LIST row to take up a full line.
    The recently watched row doesn’t need to take up a full line, and so on.

  4. Mediabrowser 3 support

    A plugin for mediabrowser 3 would be great. All there is now is Trakt so i think this would be a great alternative :)

  5. Simkl Tracker Options Monitored Folder [Windows]

    Give an Option to set a Folder to be monitored instead of everything.
    Example: Only C:/Movies is monitored.

  6. Turkish TV Shows

    It would not be bad also add Turkish series. The community of the Turkish series is huge and such a page as Simkl with Turkish TV Shows would be unique.

  9. Send alerts when a tv show or movie is available on one of your streaming services like Reelgood.

    A feature I've been wanting for a while is to get an alert when a movie or tv show is available on one of the streaming services I subscribe to. Reelgood does a great job at this, providing email, text, & push notifications. I would also love to be able to filter searches by what is available on my services and filtering out shows I've already seen. If Simkl had these features, it would completely replace Reelgood and Rotten Tomatoes for me.

    What I am looking for in the perfect movie/tv tracking service in order of priority is:

    It would nice to see this feature especially for users on kodi.tv to sync there add-on within kodi.tv with progress on Simkl for TV shows and movies.

  12. Being able to manually modify the identification on kodi

    Hello, I use the simkl tracker on kodi so I don't have to do it manually

    However I have several anime (for example initial d, city hunter etc.) which are not right in the identification

    For example for season 2 of initial d given that on simkl it is considered as a second series and not there sequel while on kodi it is considered as the sequel, the tracker cannot find what it corresponds to

    I would therefore like to know if it was possible to add an option to the Kodi tracker to manually select if desired which series…

  13. Add the ability to track the watching of Live events (e.g. Sports)

    Add the ability to search for and track track watching of sporting events like NFL, UFC, soccer/football, Olympics, NCAA etc. It seems it would be its own new category, but at least having the ability somewhere would be fantastic.

  15. @midnight Issues

    The show @Midnight does not show up in the search no matter how you type it (@ midnight - @midnight - at Midnight - atMidnight) and when I finally found it under games shows, it says the show is completed but it is far from that!! Because it says completed it doesn't show up on my dashboard so I forgot about it and missed all last week!

    Please fix this

    search fixed, now searches with @ sign correctly.
    The the show now has season info as years instead of seasons, we’re looking on how to best integrate this option.

  17. Dashboard

    Missing an ability to activate / deactivate sections at dashboard. f.e. "Airing next" for ppl who are waiting for translated series the airing plan is not necessary.
