Android navigation improvements
In the Android app, swiping left/right should navigate between the tabs (seen/aired/next for shows, year/dvd/n for movies).

Full support for Spanish language and Bilingual content
Spanish is the fastest growing language in the USA and is also one of the fastest growing languages in the world. A great deal of this content is available with English audio or subtitles.
Many streaming platforms are adding a lot of Spanish and/or Bilingual content (Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, etc.) due to the increase in market share.
This is a great way to increase both Simkl's content and user base!

Show friends' statuses on product page
Currently I can only see their ratings on the right side, but it would be nice to see their statuses as well (planned, seen etc...). Because now I have no way of knowing if they have seen something but didn't rate it.

Put "Time left to watch" back on the bottom of the list of shows
There used to be info on how many days of TV you had left unwatched at the bottom of the lists. That's gone? I found that really useful, please bring it back.
12 votesV2 Beta uses a different way of showing a list of your shows, divided by number of shows per page for better performance, while V1 showed all shows on one page, so not easy to add a total counter when it only selects a portion of your shows to display without sacrifising performance.

Would be great if we had an option to view all comments (that we leave) just as we can view our history, similar to a certain website called trakt.tv (which has recently gone to shaite, unfortunately) excuse my language, silly me.

Allow marking a show as "Completed" without marking every episode as watched
Currently, marking a show as completed automatically flags all of its episodes as watched. For many shows this is fine, but it doesn't fit how people actually watch certain series.
For anime especially, a lot of episodes aren't essential viewing, filler arcs, recap/summary episodes, side stories, and so on. Plenty of viewers intentionally skip these but still consider the show "finished." Right now there's no way to reflect that: I either have to mark episodes I never watched, or leave the show as incomplete even though I've seen everything I wanted to.12 votes -

MPC-BE and Movies support!
MPC-BE support for the app. It is being replaced as better player than MPC-HC and people are changing to it. I think it would not be an big issue to add support to it?
Also movie tracking is really crucial, is this even planned?

Groups
If you are familiar with "Steam", you'll know about groups. Users can create their own groups, public or private/invite only, for all kind of interests.
Why I'd consider this useful is to invite already existing communities to simkl. On all kinds of forums you'll find people talking about which movies and shows they recommend - why not make it easier for them?
With groups they'd have to chance to connect with familiar names immediately. And you could offer tons of statistics based on the group's interests.

Keyboard shortcuts
It would be nice if the site would support (more) keyboard shortcuts. Especially when setting up a new profile, you go through a lot of series/movies. It would be awesome if you could hit right/left arrow to focus the next item in the list, hit 1 to 9 (or 0 for 10, I guess) to provide a stars rating, and some clever keys for adding to lists.

Notification Option for TV Season Finale (only)
Instead of selecting which shows notify you when a new episode comes out; provide an option to only notify when the selected show(s) have aired the last episode of a season. This feature would be especially great because I'm sure a lot of folks get too many notifications and also like to wait until all the episodes for a season have aired and then 'binge' them. Thank you!!
11 votesUnfortunately this data is not always available when the season has ended and no new episodes are planned to be produced. You might miss notifications for some shows or never receive one untill new season starts.
It is available on TVDB for some shows, but not all shows and often only available after some time (few days) after last episode has aired. Show production schedule is unpredictable in many cases.

Extend the "mark as watched" functionality of Summary tab to Episodes tab
The mark as watched functionality of the Summary tab on the main page of each show is great. It would be nice if that could be extended to the Episode tab.
Ideally, an overlay would be added to the graphic of each episode that allows the user to mark that and all previous episodes as watched, same as clicking the episodes "dot" in the Summary tab.
Because of my specific use case, I have to manually mark my episodes as watched. The functionality of the Summary tab is great for marking large blocks of episodes, but I often need to…

Show voice actors etc. based on the users set language
Pay tribute to those whose voices make not only Animes come to life, but also transfer jokes to our mother tongue. Never ask yourself again where you know that voice from.
Sorted or filtered by language, maybe a setting in the user settings that uses the browsers language as default. Fallback could be English.

Social Watch Activity: Which Friends Are Watching / Recently Watched Episode or Film
I would love to see SIMKL introduce a more social “watch activity” system for movies, TV episodes, and anime episodes.
Right now, we can already see friend ratings, but it would be amazing if SIMKL expanded this into real-time and recent viewing activity.
1. Show who is currently watching
For a movie, TV episode, or anime episode, display:
- Which users are currently watching it
- How many people are currently watching
- How many of your friends (followers/following) are currently watching
Example:
- “63 people watching”
- “5 of your friends are watching now”
This would make SIMKL feel much more alive and social.

When selecting "Marked as watched" have a confirmation before removing the watch history
Hi there. I've come from Trakt and I'm still getting used to things. When I saw "Marked as watched" on something I had seen, I selected it. The expected result was that it would show me when I had seen it. The actual result was that it unmarked it as watched, and deleted the history. Now I know how it works I'll avoid it, however, I think it would be a good idea to have a "are you sure you want to delete all watch history for this episode/movie?" confirmation.
Maybe even a 5 second timer after where you have…
