How can we improve Simkl?

  1. Google TV App

    Would love to see a Simkl app that would work on Google TV which could basically be used as a Watchlist/Continue Watching app like the existing Google TV homepage. Clicking on the item would launch it in its respective streaming service.

  2. sync Netflix queue ("My List")

    it's awesome you sync my Netflix history. A natural next step would be to sync my Netflix queue. My queue is large (probably 100+ titles) so a platform like simkl could really take the headache around what to watch next! it would make sense to use simkl as a launchpad!

  3. Netflix and Amazon Network Categories

    You do not have a category for Netflix or Amazon under networks. Doing this would allow us to see shows provided by those media content creators as they do act as 'networks' in that sense.

  4. Favourite shows

    As well as you can mark tv shows, series and cartoons as "watching" or "on hold". There should be a favourite option, so you can keep track of your favourite shows.

  12. Add a planner/scheduler feature

    Here's an idea: you guys could add a feature through which users can plan/set goals for what and when they want to watch. For example, tomorrow I want to watch two episodes of Friends, the next day The Shining, then the day after three episodes of Attack On Titan...
    Or it could also have something like: By the end of this month I want to have finished Season 3 of The Walking Dead, every Christopher Nolan movie, Full Metal Alchemist...

  13. Auto drop series after x time

    A feature to put series that the users haven't watched after a while to "dropped" this would make the "dropped" status used much more.

    Best way would be to let the user decide the "time limit" and if the user wants it or not. It should also only count series that have new aired episodes that the user haven't watched to avoid problems when waiting for a new season.

  15. Add symbol before title in iPhone app

    Add symbol before title in search entries to know if it's already in the list and in which list; for example a star for plan to watch, a green circle for completed, etc.

  16. UX enhancement - Unify the search box

    Summary : Users are dumb, help them and reduce the simkl teams support workload.

    The vast majority of support threads are along the lines of "My show/movie/animie" is not listed

    🔹 Missing - 68 support threads
    🔹 Missing Movie - 244 support threads
    🔹 Missing tv show - 358 support threads

    If the search results were unified i.e. searching for "Utopia" gives the result for the TV Show, The Movie and The Anime, in one place, reducing the number of "my thing is missing / please add it" threads would be reduced.

  17. option for choosing platforms

    I'd love to have an option where I can choose on which platforms I'm watching.
    Like Boxes to tick.

  20. Calendar display

    I think it would be a good idea if we could have some way to customize de display of our calendar. For example de size o it, the colours, if we want to show the images of the shows or only the text, etc..
