How can we improve Simkl?

  1. Show the date a specific episode was watched

    I would like the ability to see when I watched a certain episode. Also, if it isn't too much trouble the ability to change the date in which you watched a show. Say I watched a show a few months back but just marking it down now it would be nice to mark it as watched months ago so it doesn't show as just watched now

  2. Notification when TV Series ends or is resurrected

    When the final episode of a TV Series airs, or when a TV series is cancelled, its status changes from Continuing to Ended (on TVDB and on Simkl). Inversely, when a TV Series that was considered to have ended, is rebooted or resurrected, the status changes from Ended back to Continuing. In both cases, it would be very helpful to receive a notification of such a major event in the lifecycle of a show.

    Since Simkl has already implemented notifications, adding a notification when the status of a TV Series changes (from Continuing to Ended or vice versa) should be…

  3. Add options for whole Collections

    Can you add the option to mark the whole collection as watched, plant o watch, etc. so that when creating a new account or whenever browsing the collection user could mark the whole collection as watched or plan to watch. Hope you Understand.

  4. Activity Feed

    Add an activity feed that shows you your friends' activity and your own. So something along the lines of:
    "Friend X watched episode 3 of Game of Thrones"
    "You watched episode 2 of Breaking Bad"

  5. Auto update new seasons of completed/watching anime into my watch list.

    Just like how when tv shows release new seasons simkl auto combines them and informs you there's new episodes to watch.

    Currently with anime I get no notifications new seasons are out and it doesn't automatically go into my watch list.

  6. Please add the option to hide IMDB rating scores

    The rating can spoil the feeling of a movie and sometimes prevents me from watching a film that I was interested in seeing. There's no harm in having an option to turn off movie rating scores site-wide. Besides that, I really like this website. Thanks

  7. a tag to show how many times you have watched the show

    Bieng able to track and see how many times you have watched the season/movie. not just for you but also other people can see it as well

  8. Skip a season of a show

    There are some anthology series out there of reality shows with every season a new cast. Sometimes a season just didn't is good or I want to skip that season.

    Ofcourse you can mark that season as watched without watching it, but a skip season but still watching the show feature would be kinda neat, because I don't have to mark something as watched I didn't watched.
    Dropped is no option because I want to skip only a season (So maybe a drop a season feature?)

  9. Content localisation

    Tmdb, tvdb are offering localisation for many languages including German. But Trakt didn't make use of it either, the third party apps though, did.

    That shouldn't be that hard to implement, at least for the mobile app.

  10. Widgets on phone app

    Widgets for calendars would be very cool. That way, you can see your calendar from your phone without looking at the app itself. TV Time has similar widgets, and I would love to see this from Simkl.

  12. Progress Sync

    It would nice to see this feature especially for users on kodi.tv to sync there add-on within kodi.tv with progress on Simkl for TV shows and movies.

    we should be able to rank shows individual seasons as well as an overall rating. I think it matters a ton

  16. Premieres List Improvement

    Please make the option to configure which shows/movies are added to Premieres List in the Dashbord. Users could decide what genres, types etc. they are interested, everything else woud not be shown, with the option to "show everything".

  17. More detailed watch history + being able to set a watch date.

    A major thing preventing me from using this site is that it doesn't have a watch history as detailed as Trakt. If I go into my history, I can see when I watched whatever to the minute.

    There's also the option to select "Other Date" when adding something, where I can input any time I want.

  19. collaborative watch lists

    would love to be able to create a collaborative watch list/tracker with another user, a shared list that both users can edit. great for people in a long distance relationship who want to watch together remotely and keep track of what they watch together!

  20. Order of the episodes

    It would be good if we can change the order of the episodes. It is Last-to-First as default but I would like to sort them First-to-Last.
