How can we improve Simkl?

  5. About the broadcast times of some series

    Good evening, I want to help you organize a few Turkish series about the time of the broadcast. Çukur (The Pit) series is broadcast on show TV at 8:00 pm on Monday at time, and after the episode is broadcast, the channel is added to its own site and to PuhuTV. Jet Sosyete (Jet Society) series is broadcasted on TV8 channel at 20:00 on Wednesday at Turkey time, and after the publication of the episode, the broadcast section of the series is added to the YouTube channel.

    In addition, this series(https://simkl.com/tv/861940/the-not-living) made the final of the 8th episode.

    I love this site!

    Something I'd like to see though is a way to search for movies. Also pages of movies instead of the page just loading more every scroll down, with every newly added batch I find it lags more and more to the point where I can't keep going and have to refresh the page and start over with a new category.

  8. Delay new shows appearence by a day or account for timezones

    Be able to introduce a delay before seeing new available shows. I live in germany and new shows appear when it's midnight in the US but they will only be aired about 10 hours later. So either take my timezone into account or to make it easy, a checkbox with a +1 day delay would be fine.

  10. Add movies and comments look like on dtf (BEST I SAW EVER)

    Add movies. I mean not only tv show. According to comments add them like dtf.ru did

    you can see comments on right column. Creates feeling of live conversation. A few time I read interesting comment or something and was involved to conversation without any plans to do that

    Simkl TV Tracker not working with VLC, mpc-hc, mpc-be, Potplayer... Installed normally but cannot track anything.

    Most likely you have multiple Microsoft Visual C++ versions installed on your computer and the tracker gets stuck, uninstalling them usually helps. You can find Visual* in: Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features

    Also check that both tracker.exe and driver.exe are running and are not blocked by any antivirus app.

  15. Label split cour anime seasons in primary title

    Currently when viewing my anime list on Simkl, it's impossible at a glance to tell what is what when a season is split up into multiple parts.

    I've attached example screenshots below, first of Simkl and then of the same entries on MAL. On Simkl, it's impossible to tell which entry is which part without clicking onto the entry and reading the subtitle.

    JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Stone Ocean appears to have the parts in the label, but nothing else seems to.

  17. Historical Popularity Metrics (e.g., “Peak Rating Charts / Ranking”)

    A user maintains a personal library of movies and TV shows and wants to uncover which titles were exceptionally popular at any point in time—rather than only seeing their current standing.

    For example, among 100 saved films, some may have once ranked in the Top 10, even if they’re no longer trending today.

    Offering a way to sort and filter by historical popularity would help surface those past hits.

    Suggested Metrics:

    • Peak Rank: The highest position a title ever achieved on the charts.

    • Duration at Peak Rank: Number of days/weeks a title remained at its all-time best position.

    Wouldn’t it be fantastic if users could gift a year of VIP status to someone else?

    If this option isn’t available already, adding it could significantly boost the community’s growth.

    Imagine SIMKL VIP or PRO members having the ability to send a SIMKL VIP/Pro subscription gift to their eligible long time followers or following or close friends.

    • Users can make this gifting private or announce publicly (share) in activity.
    • Special Badge received to the (Buyer)
    • Special Notification alert

  19. Retro Crush isn't just free. It has a no ads paid section. $5 a month for zero ads. Much better. This should be noted.

    Technically it's on my TCL tv. Google TV. Could be online.. But still it has Zero ads because I'm paying for it. You don't have RetroCrush down as paid. And it's darn cheap for getting rid of the ads...

  20. Android app improvement

    I think it would be a convenient way to keep shows tracked if the mobile app had the feature of the chrome extension, that would allow you to log into the streaming services and like the Crunchyroll/Netflix enhacher, be able to automatically sync your watch history every half hour or so
