How can we improve Simkl?

  1. Bug - Lists automatically jump at some point to the last entrys and skip everything inbetween

    When you scroll past the point of entry No. 100 at this list for example: https://simkl.com/anime/best-anime/all-time/
    it will automatically jump from 100 to 300-1000 and is scrolling automatically

  2. "My list" - show all unwatched show even if they are not airing anymore

    In section "Profile > My List" you are showing latest-aired shows. Please show there ALL unwatched tv-shows, even if they are not aired anymore.

  3. Erroneous second season of "Planet Earth" (not on TVDB)

    I tried to fix this myself on TVDB, only to find that TVDB was correct and Simkl was out of sync with it. Not sure if this is a deeper problem or not (I don't know how often data is refreshed).

    I know this was added here before but being able to report errors natively in Simkl would be much more user friendly than having to post here (think of trying to attract the average web user).

  4. Closing the loop.

    I'll be closer review to this application from both a beginner stand point and an advanced tech standpoint I would recommend adding things such as a perspective how to when you first start using this application, because I can see this being the next biggest thing for everyone to use, in my opinion it would benefit adding quick how to points to allow users to set up links to prevent which questions such as how do I or why can I not watch my favorite show from here and so on.   5. TMDb for TV shows as well

    TVDB does not allow extended versions of shows (even when their network considers them a different show). Because of this any such shows will have incorrect statistics. TMDb (which is already used to source the movie info) now also supports TV shows, and is much easier to contribute to if corrections are needed. This would also reduce the overhead for Simkl (one less API to worry about breaking).

  12. Groups

    If you are familiar with "Steam", you'll know about groups. Users can create their own groups, public or private/invite only, for all kind of interests.

    Why I'd consider this useful is to invite already existing communities to simkl. On all kinds of forums you'll find people talking about which movies and shows they recommend - why not make it easier for them?

    With groups they'd have to chance to connect with familiar names immediately. And you could offer tons of statistics based on the group's interests.

  14. Netflix and Amazon Network Categories

    You do not have a category for Netflix or Amazon under networks. Doing this would allow us to see shows provided by those media content creators as they do act as 'networks' in that sense.

    My idea would be all the shows are sorted by ages:if the person actually put down how old they are.

    (So no adult show for children)

    Please add a feature so we can sync our view in the Plex too, so if one day you setup new server or watch stuff somewhere else, it sync with your Plex and you know you watched already.
