How can we improve Simkl?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Crunchyroll episode list incomplete

    Simkl works mostly great, but there are crunchyroll episodes not indexed.
    This also makes the scrobbler extension not to work.

  3. More countries in the countries tab.

    Adding more countries to separate the shows that it's based in. So, for example, include countries like Australia and India has a lot of shows have come from that area.

  4. Widgets to embed last watched or last rated movies

    I'd like to have simple widgets (to use with iframe or similar) for all my lists, so that I can embed them on my blog, web site, etc.

  5. Adding a new show without English translation

    If a TV show has not got a Title/Descriptions in English the TV show can not be added. Sometimes TV Shows that are not English spoken, have no translation on TVDB for theirs title. The TV show should be added anyways respecting it's original title and language.

    I've seen that happen to a show that has description in Spanish and English but the title is only in Spanish and Simkl refuses to recognize the show

  6. trak youtube channels (like youtubers)

    Youtube is like a new tv service many user use. When an user follow many channels on youtube you can easily lose what was the last video you saw from a channel, or if a video you saw it or not.

  7. Search/DB improvements

    Improve search functionality.
    Improve the DB to include staff/cast.
    Allow us to search by director or actor.
    Give us staff/cast info, and then allow us to click on a particular staff's name to find more of that person's work.

  8. Improve the mobile application

    Add the same features that the website has into the application, right now it's simple and unstable, there's always cliches and crashes.

  9. Responsive layout

    The issue is that the website isn't responsive for the screen layout of your browser.
    This prevents a user to use splitscreen or lesser used widths on some devices.
    This would be done by changing the internal code of the JS.
    And i know it's probably something that you are already working on, but i would like to see what the community thinks about this!

  10. Display scores from Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic

    I usually consider scores from Rotten Tomatoes (both critic and audience) more than IMDb, so having both and some others would be very good.

  11. Telegram Bot

    A Telegram bot would be nice. They offer a free API (https://core.telegram.org/bots). It could work like this: In a chat with the simkl bot, you send a command like /watched Star Trek DS9 E1S2 and it would add it to the watched list.

  12. Calender

    Would be nice, that when i use the calender to see my tv shows/anime, that it would scroll automatically to the day of the month that is now.

  18. Streaming availability filters

    Allow "include" view option based on streaming availability. Only videos available to stream (on the sites we have access to) are displayed.

    If we could include/exclude videos based on availability, SIMKL would be the go-to source when trying to decide what to watch.

    My list doesn't help much if it's littered with things I want to see, but can't watch.
