Simkl now supports tracking anime seasons using both Japanese and American databases when using streaming apps!
This enhancement works with Plex https://simkl.com/apps/plex/, TVDB, and TMDB agents, as well with all API tracking endpoints, Kodi and other media servers. So whether you're watching Season 3, Episode XX of your favorite anime, Simkl has you covered! 🇯🇵🇺🇸
Added relations for Anime so you can find the previous or next "Season" of the anime. You will receive a notification when new related anime, OVA, or a movie is released if you have enabled this option in notification settings https://simkl.com/settings/notifications/.
An error occurred while saving the comment Tristan Adams commentedI like this idea *in concept*, but considering how lots of animes tends to change the name between seasons, and sometimes even inbetween seasons (I'm looking at you, SAO), this seems like one of those multilevel issues that, as I see things, priorities should be in order and fixing the naming issue is the first thing.
TL;DR: There are other issues with anime seasons that I feel should come first.

I am planning to create some sort of edit interface where it would be possible to enter the number how many times you re-watched and to reset the marked episodes. In idea stage right now. But currently no plans to keep a history of both times you watched the same episode only the last watched date would be saved.

You know, I think it says something about how big a deal Sinkl is that they have people like you paying attention to their messaging places.
