How can we improve Simkl?

  5. Keyboard shortcuts

    It would be nice if the site would support (more) keyboard shortcuts. Especially when setting up a new profile, you go through a lot of series/movies. It would be awesome if you could hit right/left arrow to focus the next item in the list, hit 1 to 9 (or 0 for 10, I guess) to provide a stars rating, and some clever keys for adding to lists.

  6. different rating system

    the classic rating system still good
    but I hope to see a different rating system
    because sometimes the usual rating system is not fear
    and the best example I can give will be https://anilist.co
    because with anilist you can rate the way you want

  7. show the name of the movie/tvshow/anime on the lenguage of the location of the user

    Sometimes it is hard to find a movie, tvshow or anime, because you do not know in what lenguage it's the name on Simkl.

    Would be great that by the "location" option on the profile settings, the web show the names the movie, tvshow or anime have on that location.

    IMDB, show on the info of a movie,tvshow or anime, the different names it have for some locations. Maybe Simkl could take the names and locations by there.

    I would like see series ended across the front of the poster on the profile page. Similar to how you have the episode numbers listed.

  13. Create a Sub/Dub option for anime

    If possible, please add a sub/dub option in the anime page instead of a separate US release. Also, please enable separate episode trackers for the sub/dub versions.

  15. Netflix and Amazon Network Categories

    You do not have a category for Netflix or Amazon under networks. Doing this would allow us to see shows provided by those media content creators as they do act as 'networks' in that sense.

  16. Add setting to hide plot

    Add a setting to the website to hide the plots by default - this helps if a user goes through the episodes and doesn't want to know the plot in advance - it's a feature that Trakt supports. See the attached screenshot for reference (the hidden plot is at the bottom of the screenshot).

  17. Default filters for Movies > My List

    Default "Country" and "Released" filters to "All" under Movies > My List, was hard to notice them and had issues finding out where the movies I just added to the list went (confusion).

    In section "Profile > My List" you are showing latest-aired shows. Please show there ALL unwatched tv-shows, even if they are not aired anymore.

  19. Translations

    I wanted to ask if it would be possible to put the site in several languages, there is this site www.localeapp.com that helps, so the users helped translate SIMKL for several languages. This is how TMDb did it. And they would gain many more users because not everybody knows how to read in English.
