How can we improve Simkl?

  2. Show being sorted

    My idea would be all the shows are sorted by ages:if the person actually put down how old they are.

    (So no adult show for children)

    Or maybe they are already sorted like that.I don't know,I m a new user.

  4. Rewards for inviting friends

    If I invite a friend, I'd like some rewards if they join! If they spend any money (if there is such system in place), can you reward me some affiliate money? Just throwing this out there

    Currently Simkl is free to use with no ads after signing up. You’re welcome to invite as many friends as you can, however we don’t have any affiliate fees in place for inviting friends.

  5. Include repeat airings of episodes

    If I've started watching an old series that premiered a long time ago (e.g. ncis, Hawaii 5-0 etc.) then it would be useful to know when the episodes I haven't seen yet are airing. From what I can see from your website you only show new airings of shows on your tv episode calendar.

    -the ability to scroll in Recently Watched for older watched stuff
    -show "more menu" and rating option in all categories
    -show the title in "more menu" or under the poster (sometimes the poster it's not enough)
    -mark episodes as watched from my list in dashboard

  12. user profile categorising depending on ganre(s) he likes most(tv movie genres on his wached and playlist ..)

    and depending on user tv show and movie playlist ganres u coud add profille graph like 30 % drama 50 % fantasy or super sifi maniack
    and add like heart - if top % goes to romance , gun or kicking chuck norris if action liker near profile info
    (smthing cool looking ;]) that woud define what user likes looking fast at his profile

  13. Add functionality to /tv page

    From the tv shows list (userid/tv), you've provided a great chart that should be good for bulk editing. Especially after the initial "import from Netflix" event, my TV list has a ton of shows listed but not differentiated. From this page, it is fairly easy to click down each one and providing a rating. Should also be able to categorize as watching/want to watch/etc. Given that the imports contain a lot of shows that I have watched in the past, I'd recommend a new default category for these that sorts below "Watching" (which I think of as my "current" shows).…

  14. Artwork Section of Movies & TV Shows

    It would be a great idea, a kind of artwork section in the film or series overview insert. Thus, one could be his favorite films or series Submit wallpaper or whatever. Could also be a great VIP function.

    In Full List of My TV Shows, add a thumbnail of the TV show for each line. Allow this be optional, however, default.

  16. Contributor or VIP Edit details button.

    There should be an edit button, where people who are VIP or Contributors can make edits to series information, I've found a few mistakes on a couple of anime shows and tv series and even a few movies. Where they are falsely listed as Porn or something different all together. Below I've listed a photo that has edits I've made to show what I suggest, they are highlighted in red.

  17. Greater compartmentalizing

    Allow the user to compartmentalize the website, to see any combination of the categories instead of all three. i.e. Anime and movies only. TV shows and movies are already heavily embedded in culture, thus tracking and getting recommendations isn't necessary for some. Just the same, a lot of people don't like anime or TV. Give the capability to disable these sections, or minimize them.

  19. UI improvements for more menu

    These are all improvements for the menu that appears when hovering over a film/tv show. The one that shows "More" menu and the rating at the bottom.

    First of all, get rid of the menu. Don't make me click twice to add a movie to my plan to watch, watched or whatever. On hover, line some icons on the left and right and have the the words of what the icon does appear when you hover over it. It should only take one click for me to mark something as something I want to watch, have watched or whatever.
