How can we improve Simkl?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. The ability to disable a certain section entirely, like TV Shows.

    In case that someone is not interested in TV Shows entirely, then why would all that information about TV Shows appear in their profile?!. How about creating an essential option to disable such section completely, and remove all its related data (news, suggestions, recommendations, and even from the watched stats calculator!). Wouldn't that be nice?. ^_^

  2. add profile settings genre sellect + show suggested movies and shows dependng on my choise

    add my selected genres to profile info and make section for my recomemded movies and recomended tv shows what havent been added to my list yet

    more sub categories within genres and to be able to see all catergories. And to be allowed to pick multiple categories to search by ie. horror/thriller/popular

  6. Watching list to have only shows with unwatched episodes

    The watching list is filled with a lot of shows that I've complete to date, but they are still airing. I would it so that I don't see those shows in my list when deciding what to watch. This could either be by putting them on a different list or having any of the filter options group all of those together.

  7. Predict your ratings...

    It will be good if the system can/will predicts your ratings for an unrated show/anime/movie before you actually rated it. That way, you know if the system predicts your taste well or not.

  8. Let us choose if we saw the "regular version" or the "alternate version" of a movie or episodes.

    like theatrical cut, extended cut, director's cut, workprint, fanedit or what else

    ... and i would also like to:
    - see the list of newest (recently added) movies and tv shows,
    - see the list of newest (recently written) reviews,
    - see the list of worst (lowest rated) movies (and shows),
    - have a possibility to hide that "waiting for your rating" list,
    - have a possibility to search movie by tags.

    Is some of that allready possible? I know that searching by clicking on a tag (in movie description) works, but i dont see an option to write a tag (or more tags) myself.

  14. To Watch Section

    Amazing site, I absolutely love this project.

    I would suggest you guys add a page where you're able to view episodes to watch. I mean like something like this http://i.imgur.com/ugE2cfb.png

    Where a user is able to sort by most recently watch, or number of episodes to watch in ascending or descending order. This would also be a great addition to your app as well.

    As not all users are English language it should be great to have the possibility to have titles in other languages as it is in other sites.

  18. Include repeat airings of episodes

    If I've started watching an old series that premiered a long time ago (e.g. ncis, Hawaii 5-0 etc.) then it would be useful to know when the episodes I haven't seen yet are airing. From what I can see from your website you only show new airings of shows on your tv episode calendar.

  19. TV/Anime/Movies Rating via Poster

    Please allow the rating of TV/Anime/Movie via their poster across the website. This is done somewhat under Movies, but it would be nice if this option was available across all posters instead of having to click the poster, choose an option, go back, and refresh.

  20. Clearly list streaming options from a title's main page

    Right now you have to click on an episode to see the available streaming options, but there should be a clear list of available streaming options for the series in general from the main information page of any title. This is a feature on the mobile apps.
