Import trakt.tv list
Import Trakt.tv watchlist, ratings and watched.
Simkl now supports importing trakt history at https://simkl.com/apps/import/trakt/ and individual custom lists import from track when creating a new custom list at https://simkl.com/lists/

It does not import the history (at least it seams not to since the “Most recently watched” show, after import, is one I haven't watched in 8 years), only the status of watched or not-watched for each episode and movie.
The history is important too, I am not only interested in what I've watched or not; but rather when, how many times, and when's the last time I've watched that episode or movie, and Trakt keeps track of that information too.
I would expect to have all this information imported in order to migrate services :-)

Just tested trakt import and seems to be working. It will say 0 if you have imported before and there's no new shows or movies to import.
If you have problems with trakt please contact at [email protected] with your user ID so we can check.

wanted to switch from trakt to simkl (your webpage is easier and nicer to use) but the import function is broken and says its imported 0
according to Trakt:
114 days, 9 hours, 0 mins watching
3,426 episodes (4,077 plays of 123 shows)
7 days, 6 hours, 54 mins watching
84 movies (99 plays)so thats 84 movies 3426 tv shows minus the 0 that were imported correctly which equals (one sec....ok carry the 2, divide by pi.the speed of the train is c to the power of 5...) ah got it...all of them missing plus 2 (i wouls show my workings but it would involve a map of the london underground...never was great at maths)

Importing trakt watch history to Simkl is no longer working. It seems to no longer import watched movies/shows.

James, we're still having problems exporting full watch history to trakt. Trakt is unresponsive and can take ten or more minutes for a full import and sometimes fail. It's ok if it is only doing on your device, but we can't afford it for thousands of users doing it at the same time from our servers. Importing to trakt should take 1-2 seconds not 600-1200 seconds. Perhaps there's a better solution to do it using chrome extension, but we're waiting for trakt to fix it's problem for now.

Heya. How's the full 2-way sync coming along?
-
AdminAndrew Masyk (Founder, Simkl) commented
Damien, we're working on it, adding 2-way sync, you'll be able to import, export and keep trakt in sync with Simkl. This will open an opportunity to use all trakt apps and use Simkl database.
Current trakt API is very unstable (some requests can take as much as couple minutes and many can fail without ever completing). It will take some time for them to fix all current bugs and reimport the V1 database into new trakt. Importing all user's data from v1 into v2 takes them about a week and stressed the database load time.

New API is released, how's this looking?? :)

We anticipate at least one more month before trakt releases a new API V2 to public. Unfortunately we cannot switch it on before they do.

How far off is this looking? And will it automatically check me in on trakt too??
