I am another former trakt user looking for an alternative. Simkl was it until I realized it doesn't log rewatches. This would really be the best time to get this implemented with so many of us leaving trakt. The way it's described wouldn't work for me though. I need every play to be in my history.

It have been 7-8 years already and still no rewatched feature coming out

I'm one of the many trakt users itching to leave that dumpster fire and waiting for Simkl to start scrobbling and support rewatches... I rewatch a lot and this is super crucial for me.

This is a must feature coming from trakt.tv where i could simply mark any item as watched even if it's already marked as such and it automatically creates a new watched date then I can click watched history for that item and see all the dates I watched it. This is also applicable to movies, not just tv shows.

I would also love the ability to mark multiple instances of watching a movie or episode of a TV show / Anime, with the specific date & time being recorded, similar to Trakt, as other people have mentioned. Is there any update as to when this feature might become available?

So, as Justin Cawthorne mentioned aswell, this function is absolutely critical for me. I am debating moving over from Trakt. I don't really keep track of whatever the devs over there are doing but the whole athmosphere is changing in the community. Also, based on release notes, it seems development has stalled. I used the importer function on SIMKL and I was pleasantly surprised by the succesratio (only 34 out of 3400 records not found). However: as soon as I checked a couple of shows and movies I noticed it only contains just 1 watched instance. Upon further investigation I couldn't find a feature where I can mark a show as rewatching or rewatched. Unfortunately this will stop me from moving over definately.

An update that would allow us to see how many times we have watched a movie or episode of a series would be very useful.

This is an absolutely critical function - along with the ability ot edit the watched date, it's likely the only thing that would stop me moving over from Trakt. There are plenty of instances of me rewatching movies, for example, and for a tracker app to have value I need to be able to record each viewing date 9and time)

Moving to here from TV Time, and this feature would be the literaly last thing I need for me to never look back.

Since you only have a few options to choose from, and you may only pick one (watched, plan to watch, dropped etc), it would be neat to have a button similar to the Favorites button, which allows you to add a movie or show to an additional list. The Re-Watch list.

This list would permit you to still have the movie marked as watched/favorited, but allow you to easily track what you would like to watch again, without interfering with any other lists. Handy if you plan to watch those movies with friends or something.

I dont think there is any Anime Dedicated sites that provide rewatch feature?

I recently re-watched a film and found that there's no way to mark it as re-watched. This is crucial data for this kind of service to track. Other services can, and Simkl should too. It's sorely missing and it's been over five years since the idea was posted. Please try and make this feature a reality! Hire who you need if it's necessary. I don't mean to over-exaggerate, but it does make me question if I made the right choice to move here if I can't keep a history of my viewings.

Finally, I must disagree with the choice to not keep a history. We should be able to mark the film / episode as re-watched, have its watch date updated, and see all the previous times we've also watched it and when. That would be ideal.
