How can we improve Simkl?

  1. Movies Auto Lists always open with Filters shown (expanded) by default

    Unlike auto lists created for TV Shows or Anime, a Movies auto list is always loaded with the filters shown (expanded) by default. This is in contrast to auto lists for TV Shows and Anime which always load with the filters sidebar hidden (collapsed).

    When there are a lot of titles, we show filters in all lists by default. For smaller lists where there is no need to filter anything, we hide the filters automatically.

  2. Update the extension to match Crunchyroll new profiles

    Like the title said, Please update the extension to match Crunchyroll new profiles. As it's already done for Netflix, please do the same for Crunchyroll. Thank you !

  3. Show the date a specific episode was watched

    I would like the ability to see when I watched a certain episode. Also, if it isn't too much trouble the ability to change the date in which you watched a show. Say I watched a show a few months back but just marking it down now it would be nice to mark it as watched months ago so it doesn't show as just watched now

    Time spent watching: 1.1 days

    Time took to watch: 4.2 years


    In V2 Beta in Table View with filters hidden shows date last watched.

    You can import lists from all popular platforms including trakt in Custom List Create\Edit interface using the Import tab. Please be aware that you can also create Auto Lists can be easier to create and are auto updatable.

  5. Please sync Real Time with Bill Maher

    Season 22 hadn't started but lists 2 episodes that overlap season 21. TVDB is correct. Thanks.

  6. Case insensitive sorting

    Sorting seems to be case sensitive, such that BEEF (https://simkl.com/tv/1576846/beef) is listed before The Bear (https://simkl.com/tv/1664094/the-bear)

    Wasn't sure if this should go under improvement or bug, decided on improvement since I don't know how sorting was decided on

  8. Make alphabetical sorting consistent between Profile and TV/Movie

    The way titles are sorted alphabetically is inconsistent between Profile and TV/Movie

    In profile all the titles that start with "The" are grouped together and alphabetically placed after S and before U. However in TV/Movie titles starting with "The" are sorted by what follows "The". The Bear is sorted as Bear, The. The Flash is sorted as Flash, The.

    Ideally this could be an option whether to group all of "The" titles together or sorted by what follows "The" but at least sorting them the same way between the two sections would be helpful

  13. Random button

    Not sure if this idea has been posted yet, but I couldn't find anything similar to it so here we go:
    What I would really love to see is a button that will give you a random movie, tv series or anime (depending on what you'd like to get) to watch, pretty much like a roulette. I have a lot of stuff to watch on my Plan to Watch list and yet I have trouble picking the next movie or tv series to watch. This would greatly help and add a little bit fun to it.

  16. Sync Jimmy Kimmel Live with TVDB

    Please fix "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" seasons 20 & 21 in SIMKL. TVDB had problems but now has them right:

    TVDB correctly (I think) shows that
    Season 20 had 165 episodes, the last was Sam Rockwell as a guest.
    Season 21 has 48 episodes currently listed on IMDB. Episode 47 is Brendan Fraser, and episode 48 is TBA on Dec. 19.

    On Simkl,
    Season 20 has 195 episodes. Newer episodes have been added here erroneously.

    Season 21 has 194 episodes.

  17. Urband Legend incorrect air date

    Urband Legend airs on the Travel Channel Friday at 10pm EST. SIMKL seems to think it airs Thursday at 11pm.
