How can we improve Simkl?

  1. Add REAL support for MPV and MPV.NET to SIMKL for Windows

    Hi, how are you?

    First of all, thanks for such a nice platform to use, i really like it.

    Now, to my reason of getting in contact with you,

    I use a lot of the apps you have available in the site, and i noticed that MPV player and MPV.Net are not getting the tracking recognition. I used to use vlc, but i discovered mpv a year ago and the expansive characterisic of it really got me.

    So, i would love if you added support to MPV player and MPV net (that is a fork with a lot of settings…

    When using the older Windows Tracker, one option is to rename the video player to vlc.exe.

    Another newer solution - you can use Simkl MPS for more media player support options https://github.com/ByteTrix/Media-Player-Scrobbler-for-Simkl

  2. Hide watched (not completed) shows

    I have a large collection of shows that I have seen all of the episodes of, but that have not finished airing. They take up too much space on-screen and keep me from seeing all of the stuff I still have to watch.

  3. Show the date a specific episode was watched

    I would like the ability to see when I watched a certain episode. Also, if it isn't too much trouble the ability to change the date in which you watched a show. Say I watched a show a few months back but just marking it down now it would be nice to mark it as watched months ago so it doesn't show as just watched now

    Inside each episode now shows time when watched. Inside each show shows:

    Added to Watchlists: 4.2 years ago

    First watched: 4.2 years ago

    Last watched: 5 days ago

    Time spent watching: 1.1 days

    Time took to watch: 4.2 years

    In V2 Beta in Table View with filters hidden shows date last watched.

    Season 22 hadn't started but lists 2 episodes that overlap season 21. TVDB is correct. Thanks.

  5. JustWatch integration

    It would be great if you integrate JustWatch to know where to watch content. Some apps like Showly show this information directly, but others take you to a JustWatch search result instead.

  8. A TV series missing in Simkl

    The Finnish TV series "Roba" is on tvdb but not in here, could it be added to smkl as well?

  9. can we add tautulli webook?

    tautulli links to multiple plex etc, can ave it send webook notification wen sow reaches watced.

    1. Install Tautulli for plex from https://tautulli.com/
    2. Open Tautulli Settings
    3. Open “Notification Agents”
    4. In “Configuration” tab paste plex webhook URL from https://simkl.com/apps/plex/
    Webhook Method: Post
    Description: Simkl Webhook
    5. Open “Triggers” tab and only select “Watched” checkmark
    6. Open “Data” tab and click “Watched” item to expand. Keep JSON Headers empty and paste the following into “JSON Data”:
    {"event":“media.scrobble”,“user”:“{username}”, “Metadata”:{ “title”: “{title}{show_name}”,“type”:“{media_type}”,“year”: “{year}”,“guid”:“/{themoviedb-/{themoviedb-/{season_num}/{episode_num}/”}}

    and click Save
    7. Go back to Tautulli Settings and click Restart
    8. All set, now whenever you watch something it should be marked on Simkl as watched

    Its soo good of a movie to be missing on your data base

  13. Adding the ability for the user to add there own links of where you can watch the said show

    For the individual user to add there own links to search for where you can watch the said show, as you can in the TV Series - Your Shows Manager app

  14. More robust calendar.

    How about the ability to completely customize the calendar? Put all of my upcoming releases in movies, TV shows and anime in one calendar.

  16. Overlay a check-mark in calendar view for shows you have watched.

    When looking at your shows in the calendar view, you can easily see which of your shows you have seen. This will be especially helpful when trying to coordinate shows that overlap such as Flash/Arrow.

    You can find total count for shows and movies in Profile / Stats and in My TV list (link from the dashboard) at the bottom of the list will be stats for all your shows and movies for that list
