Hi SIMKL team! Thank you for adding the option to display anime titles in English, I really appreciate it!
Could you also add an option to track episode availability based on the user’s preferred audio language? An episode’s original release date doesn’t always reflect when it’s available in the language someone watches.
I watch anime dubbed in English, but SIMKL oftentimes shows episodes as available and unwatched before their English dubs have been released. The attached screenshot includes older examples: Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc and The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System. English-dubbed episodes have since been released for one, but the dub releases haven’t necessarily caught up to the episodes SIMKL shows. The issue is the difference between the original release schedule and the release schedule for my preferred audio language.
It would be helpful to choose a preferred audio language and have the Latest Unwatched Episodes, upcoming episodes, and release notifications follow availability in that language. Episodes awaiting that language’s release could remain listed as upcoming until they’re available. There could be a toggle swich in new episode section where you can select "Newest Episodes" or "Newest Episodes In Your Prefered Language" so you can switch between the two.
This would make it easier for users watching in any supported language to see what’s actually ready for them to watch.
