Activity Feed
Add an activity feed that shows you your friends' activity and your own. So something along the lines of:
"Friend X watched episode 3 of Game of Thrones"
"You watched episode 2 of Breaking Bad"

Add an activity feed similar to AniList, which shows your friends' activity. In my opinion, adding a more social aspect to the site would do wonders for usage, since seeing others sharing their activity motivates us to share our own as well.
Even though it's a different case, I'm using Duolingo as an example to illustrate my point: According to Duolingo's own stats, people who add friends are "5.6x more likely to finish their course". I'm certain there are other similar case studies, but in general it does seem like social features can drive usage.
This social aspect is the only thing keeping me from recommending this site to my friends. We're all on AniList, but I do think a lot of people would consider switching to Simkl if it had more social features as well.

"feed" to be able to post in your profile about the show you're currently watching or anything. and make it more like a social network to talk and meet new friends with the same interests and share things with them.
