Add app for better management!
Add support to players or some app which is integrated into explorer so i could right click movie/serie and select i have watched this or something like that. Doing these things manually is too demanding.
Simkl has Chrome extension AND Windows app for video players like What is Simkl TV Tracker app?
← Software
At the moment, our Windows app has the ability to demonstrate how the application is already capable of detecting almost any TV show and Anime that can be downloaded from the internet and played through most popular video players.
You can download the beta version from https://simkl.com/apps/
With the help of the Simkl TV Tracker app you can detect most TV or Anime episodes downloaded from the internet or downloaded through iTunes.
Instructions: Install Simkl TV Tracker, open any TV episode video file. In 7–15 seconds (it may take longer times for detecting rare Anime) you will see a small popup at the bottom right corner with the name of the TV show and it’s episode number that you’re watching.
PS: Beta version is for demonstration purposes only, for Windows 7\8\10 PC, may contain bugs.
Currently beta version works with such popular media players as:
VLC, KMPlayer, GOM, iTunes, MPlayer, RealPlayer, DivX Plus Player, Windows Media Player, PowerDVD, BSPlayer, Winamp, MPC-HC, ehshell, AVS Media Player, FLVPlayer4Free, etc.
Click download PC Tracker at https://simkl.com/apps/. More about it: http://support.simkl.com/knowledgebase/articles/626121-what-is-simkl-tv-tracker-app

I tried using VLC (and MPC-BE) with few series and movies and the icon just stayed like it was, no color change or tooltip or anything. I even disabled antivirus/antimalware apps for a while and no change.

Try with VLC, the system tray icon (Letter S in TV) should be green if detected, orange if detecting. Also, try whitelisting the app in your Antivirus app, some apps may try to detect it falsely.

Oh, i did not know it would track like that.
It does not seem to work with me though.
I tried to open an series (Expanse) with MPC-HC, PotPlayer and VLC and let it run for 30 seconds and got no pop-up from tracker and i also checked simkl site for recent watches and it did not appear there :\ Trackers version seems to be 1.0.6

Yes i know that simkl app supports Hulu and Netflix that i know of but supporting media players like PotPlayer, MPC-HC or other players would be welcome.
Also adding simkl app to explorer would be a very good idea (atleast for me) so i could right click an movie or serie and select simkl from menu and add to watched for example
