How can we improve Simkl?

  2. Hide shows in "My List" once all episodes watched much like tvmaze.com

    I'm overloaded by the amount of shows I watch, it's a little embarrassing. Anyway, I'm on a mission I guess. Once thing that strikes me as odd, when I complete all current episodes of a show, it still shows in My List. I would much rather see the shows that I am watching, but not currently completed than to see all shows I'm watching, completed to date or not. tvmaze.com, site I used before, would make any show with completed episodes drop off the list until a new episode came out. Best attribute of their site.

  3. country

    Make the available shows regional based. If you partnered with a site like https://www.justwatch.com/au/ then you can see whats available per country.
    When I logon as an Australian user it says I have three seasons available to me on Netflix, however because of regional licensing I have only 2.

  4. watched this episode and all previous

    Feature request:
    button for "watched this episode and all prior in this season"

    useful for certain shows that have 50+ episodes in a season. or if i watch 10 episodes in a row.

    You can now mark the last episode watched in any show in Simkl Lists app, Desktop and Mobile website and if you had any unwatched episodes before, it would now ask if you want to mark those as well. Great way to mark shows after binging.

  6. Make the x hours to watch series reflect time remaining

    Say a TV series is 10 hours long, 10 episodes of 1 hour each.

    After watching 2 episodes, the "time to watch series" should now say 8 hours remaining instead of 10 hours.

  7. Merge Anime and TV Shows calendars together

    Somehow merge TV and Anime calendars together to have one calendar with all tv shows and all animes?

  10. See time spent per tv show/anime

    We have an option to see the time spent watching tv shows, animes or movies as a whole but it would be nice to be able to see time spent per tv show/anime/movie where we could then rank them based on time wasted.

    Each individual show now has time info 63 hours  •  94 episodes total, 82 episodes (58h 46m) left to watch.

    You can also sort your lists by total running time in Lists v2 to see which ones took you the most time to watch.

  11. Calendar display

    I think it would be a good idea if we could have some way to customize de display of our calendar. For example de size o it, the colours, if we want to show the images of the shows or only the text, etc..

  12. Setting for start of week in calendar view

    Add a setting to select which day to use as the beginning of a week. Where I'm from, weeks are most often displayed as Sunday through Saturday rather then Simkl's default of Monday through Sunday.

    Here’s how you can set it up:

    • Jump into your Settings Menu https://simkl.com/settings/pagination/
    • Scroll down the new option titled "First Day of the Week"
    • Choose your preferred start day:
    • Saturday (popular in some Middle Eastern countries)
      Sunday (a favorite in the US, Canada, and parts of Latin America)
      Monday (the go-to in Europe, Asia, and many other places)

    Now it automatically detects your current country and auto detects which day of the week it should start from or you can lock in your favorite day in the Settings (especially if you use VPN and change countries often).

  14. Quickly mark next episode as watched from the dashboard

    Meaning, if you are on the dashboard and want to mark an episode as watched, you can press somewhere on the cover which will be highlighted with some kind of simple icon.
    Perhaps lower end?

  15. Mark Episode Watched

    So I don't know if this is possible, but lately I have been watching TV shows that have been ended. Take "The Mentalist" for example before I knew about Simkl.com, I used another site to track my shows.

    However, now I have added The Mentalist in my watching list, but I already watched until 5th season 15th episode. So is there a way for you guys to implement a pop-up that if I clicked S05E15 as watched a pop-up would appear saying do you want to mark all previous episode as watch "Yes" or "No"

  16. Needs prequel & sequel Imformation.

    Just as the title says, the only thing stopping me right now from becoming a SIMKL user is this.

    Besides that guys keep up the great work and the user base will grow I love the concept.

  17. tv show/ anime list improvement

    i feel the idea of having image and a description when you click on dashboard then if you go to TV list/ anime list having images and a description there would help seeing the title alone makes it difficult whether if i wanna re-watch or not

  19. ctrl- click something

    Please. It would be more comfortable if when I ctrl- click some title... that movie appears in another tab and not in the one that I am already in. Because I usually like to navigate more before looking at the information of 2 or 5 movies that got my attention. Thank you!
